Basic Maps

Basic Maps are any maps with no special interaction with areas or access requirements. Notably, not Unique MapsUnique MapContains a Unique Map layout which may contain specialised rewards. Unique Maps cannot gain additional content, Essences, Shrines, or Strongboxes., Deadly Map BossDeadly Map BossDeadly Map Bosses are specific Powerful Map Bosses that appear in specific Maps and are more difficult and drop better rewards. These rewards are often accompanied by a specific item, usually from a pool of items. For example Unique Items, or Lineage Supports. Deadly Map Bosses can also drop items that grant access to Pinnacle Bosses. Maps, Precursor TowersPrecursor TowersPrecursor Towers are ancient structures that are scattered all throughout the Atlas. Precursor Tower Maps can be completed to reveal a large area around them and to obtain a Tablet. Completing a Precursor Tower requires you to activate the Precursor Beacon at the end of the Map, after defeating the Map Boss., Expedition Areas or Quest Areas.en
